For this project we are trying to prove people either guilty or not guilty. This project is our main project for the semester. How we started was by doing the last mini projects and then going to the California Innocents Project to view 2 presentations. Once we were done, we were given cases of real people who would like to exonerated. Right now we are currently working on the cases and trying to determine if our client was guilty or not guilty.
For this mini project we were given reports on people that died in a certain way. We were put into groups and had to solve/figure out how this person died. It took about a week to us to find the cause f death for our person. Once we found the C.O.D or Cause of Death, we made a presentation about it and showed evidence. Once we finished we presented it to the class.
For biology/environmental science we were given subjects to study and presentations about them. The group I chose was Ballistics, out the other 5 subjects, that were, Forensic Anthropology,Ballistics, DNA, Impression Evidence, Forensic Psychology, and Investigative Misconduct.
here is the link: http://prezi.com/cw7pbdigmvxh/ballistics-group-p-3-5/ For this assignment we have to read a book and give a review about the book. The book I chose was "The Forever War". This was my review:
For my book I chose to read "The forever War", I chose this book because the cover showed a Sci-Fi themed picture, and I am interested in that genre. I think this book was well written, also to that the author was descriptive in what he wrote about. Another thing that a reader would like about this book is that the language is what it should be for how old the people are in this book. (This book cusses a bit) I think one thing that might get people frustrated about this book, is that the pages are big and the text is relatively small. Other then that one thing this book is very suspenseful, dramatic, loving, action, and the plot is great. +++++ SPOILER++++++++ I'm waiting for you on Middle Finger... come here soon." -Marygay History week is where 2 people come together in a group and make a presentation about a certain event that happened during a certain time period in US history. It takes days to make and refine, but once the group finishes the presentation they present them to the class.
During the month of September Dr. P told us to write a letter t ourselves bout things we should and shouldn't do.
In my letter I told myself that I should turn in all my work on time, while also doing it the night before, not in class. Since that letter I have not done those types of things for homework and projects. I also said that I should be interested in every project we do because I could help understand new concepts and idea's about the project or daily life. Once I reviewed this letter, I think back abut if I have done what I told myself to do and I think I did well and to continue on with these ways. For humanities in the mourning we begin the day by writing prompts that Dr. P gives us. I have to choose my favorite one and ill tell you why. My favorite one is "Sherlock meets Junior". I like this one because it puts me into the mind of a consulting detective. I also like this one because I get to ask someone (my imagination) various questions and answer them as a character of the book or TV series.
This Memoir is Six words long For this project we created memoirs. We were told to create Memoir(s). When we finished creating them, we were then told to pick our favorite one. I am not creative... but this was my most favorite out of all the ones I created. |
